If I go to projects, I see all my projects are set to global under the GEOGRAPHY column.
I couldn’t find a way to change the setting.
How do I restrict a project to certain region?

As far as I understand it, project geography is connected to OpenAI’s data residency / advanced data controls.
I don’t think an existing “Global” project can simply be edited to a specific region from that Projects table. The docs say eligible API customers can enable regional data residency by creating a new Project and selecting the preferred region during setup.
So if you don’t see an option to change it, your organization may not be eligible/enabled for regional data residency or you may need to create a new project after the feature is enabled.

Hey @tiffiana, yeah, this one’s a bit confusing 😅 What @LarisaHaster shared is pretty much it. The geography gets picked when the project is created, and it’s not something you can swap later from the Projects table.
If you’re trying to use data residency outside the US, there are a couple extra requirements first, including approval for abuse monitoring controls and a Zero Data Retention amendment.
So in practice, the path today is usually to set up a new project with the right geography from the start, assuming your org is eligible for that region.
