Been waiting for quite a while now, does OpenAI give access in batches like every each month?
Are there certain metrics that are reviewed? Like API usage or Plus membership?
Would love to get to work!

GPT-4 API access is being rolled out to developers as capacity becomes available, there is no longer a need to apply for a waitlist since the end of July so this will be automatic, but it depends on available compute and system load, so there is no set time scale, hopefully it is soon for all developers.
If there are metrics being used, they are not public.

Although we don’t know when the next batch will get approved, I suggest you start working on your plugin.
Crafting a plugin is just a matter of coding an API. There are a few things more specific to ChatGPT but it’s honestly not that big of a deal.
So feel free to start working on your plugin and the community will be happy to help
