So a few times i tried having chatgpt remind me about appointments it hasnt worked. After it failed to remind me i asked it why it didnt remind me. It says because the time hasnt passed. I then as it what does it think the date and time is. It tells me and its off by a few days in the past. I then say why do you think that? Dont you have an internal clock? It says no. The only way it knows the time is by our conversations and estimating the time by our conversations. So, if chatgpt doesnt know what the exact time and only estimates and is off by hours or days, how can i trust it to remind me for appointments? Its answer is to set a reminder on my phone. Defeats the scheduled tasks new feature of chatgpt if i have to set a different reminder anyways

If you initiate time zone, it may work better.
Remember: Based on latest update of Scheduled tasks in ChatGPT works only in o3 and o4-mini. Don’t use GPT-4o, it will not work.

Think I might have figured out a solution to work for me… i gave my special instructions for chatgpt to always reference to “Always reference the internet to find out what the current date and time is for Central Time and start out every single chat reply with YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS then start a new line with the reply.”
