that’s pretty specific - and you maybe lucky - but as a caution about online safety - please ensure you meet that person (if they exist) in a public place - maybe a coffee shop?
perhaps you could also consider looking up groups on Meetup or similar platforms to find group sessions that may have a few experts present.
other than that perhaps you can give the online community a go and ask more specific questions about what you want to achieve?

It has around 90 members. One caveat: the current Meetup page shows no upcoming event, with the most recent listed gathering in May 2026, so I'd follow it rather than make a special trip yet. Austin AI Developers Group — probably the strongest option if you're looking for technical AI/ML people. About 4,775 members, covering GenAI, LLMs, agents, ML, deep learning and data science, with talks, coding/workshops and networking. ACM Austin | Enterprise AI & Engineering — around 1,600 members and a good middle ground between academic ML and practical engineering. Their events cover applied ML, GenAI, software architecture and related topics. There's an AI/engineering tech meetup August 26 and a hands-on AI Agents with MongoDB workshop September 17. PyTorch ATX / Austin Deep Learning — these are the ones I'd watch if your interest is more actual ML research, model training, papers and deep learning rather than general AI networking. PyTorch ATX has about 1,340 members and explicitly targets deep-learning researchers and practitioners. PyTorch ATX
This is a much more healthy first step than a one on one.

I think your best bet is your local Meetup groups 
And that assists with your safety, and theirs.
