Hard limit - which is not a limit?

Hello together

Unfortunately, I was too careless and my API key ended up in the hands of crooks.

Since it is my private account, which is on tier 4, but has a limit of $30, this is at most learning money for me.

But that’s weird:

Despite the usage limit of $30, my usage is now currently at $35. And still running.

Of course, I have revoked the “hacked” API key, but it seems that data is still running through it.

How can that be?

I suspect this is due to a script from Codecanyon that I have not maintained :man_facepalming:. I had this running for my family as an alternative to ChatGPT Plus.

I have deleted the project. But the question is, why does OpenAI go over the limit? I think 10% over the limit would be okay, but I’m currently at $35.86 and that’s with a limit of $30. That’s already over 19% of the limit I set.
