Wanted to try today api of gpt-4 but for some reason it says that i do not have acces to it even if i had 2 succesuful payments and more then 1 dollar
GPT-4 API access is being rolled out to developers as capacity becomes available, there is no longer a need to apply for a waitlist since the end of July so this will be automatic, but it depends on available compute and system load, so there is no set time scale, hopefully it is soon for all developers.
A billing of over $1 that occurred before the announcement of wider availability should have qualified you for GPT-4 API access.
However, the qualifying determination was made before July. Billing for July and August (Июль, Авг.) would not have been considered, being after the date when new developers were added.
Provide proof that supplies us with that language. You answer with speculation. And then, questions could be read, considered, and addressed more thoughtfully before answering.
The information was a reply from support@openai.com that was shared with me by a developer outlining their need to balance API access with usage. If that person gives me permission to share a screen shot I will. Until then you will have to take my word for it.
