Dear OpenAI team,
As a long-time and engaged user of your products, I’d like to offer some feedback regarding access to GPT-4.5 and the advanced tools available through your platform.
While I greatly appreciate the capabilities offered through the $20/month Plus plan, I’ve found myself repeatedly limited during particularly intense periods of work. For example, while working on academic projects or pursuing complex research and creative tasks, I’ve quickly run through the 50 weekly GPT-4 prompt quota and the 10 monthly deep research searches. These limits are manageable during lighter months, but they become frustratingly restrictive during times when I most need flexibility.
The only available option for increased access appears to be the Pro plan, which is priced at $200/month. That pricing tier is far too high for users like me who don’t need constant access to more power, but rather occasional bursts during busier times. It creates a steep gap between accessibility and functionality. To say the least the price gap makes it unjustifiable for me to upgrade.
I believe many users would benefit from a more flexible approach. For instance, a mid-tier plan at a more affordable rate(eg 60€) could grant extended GPT-4.5 use or additional web browsing without requiring the full commitment of the Pro plan. Even more helpful would be the option to purchase temporary access such as a one-day or one-week pass offering unlimited GPT-4.5 usage for €20–30. That way, users who are tackling time-sensitive or heavy-duty projects can scale up their access when they need it most without committing to a full monthly upgrade they don’t normally require or can afford.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this suggestion. Your tools have become an essential part of my workflow, and I hope to see a future where access can be tailored more flexibly to match the needs of different types of users.
