I wanted to suggest the addition of a subscription tier between the current Plus and Pro plans. Currently, the Pro plan offers extended limits and advanced features but comes at a relatively high price point of $200 per month. Many users, like myself, may need longer usage limits but don’t require all the advanced functionalities of the Pro plan.
A middle-tier subscription would be perfect for those who want to access more features, such as increased usage or extended limits, without the full cost of the Pro plan. I believe this could make the service more accessible to a wider range of users, offering more flexibility without the higher price tag .
It would be great if you could consider creating this intermediate option, as it would provide a balance between functionality and affordability .
Thank you for considering my suggestion! Looking forward to seeing what’s next for ChatGPT!
This is exactly why I signed up here. I completely agree with your point. A mid-tier “Pro Lite” plan—somewhere between $50 to $100 per month—would be a logical addition for power users who need more than Plus but aren’t ready to commit to Enterprise-level pricing.
My use case is a perfect example: I’m building a business, pushing boundaries with AI, and already hitting limits on Plus. A semi-pro plan with higher daily usage caps, priority processing, and perhaps some team-sharing features would be ideal.
Hi,
I’m an active user of ChatGPT and frequently rely on it for complex personal projects (audio processing, documentation, etc.). I would really appreciate an intermediate plan between the free and the $20/month Pro subscription.
I’m suggesting a plan around $10–12/month, which could include:
Access to GPT-4 with a reasonable cap,
Upload and generation of files (Word, Excel, PDF…),
Slightly extended memory and session history,
Possibly without the full set of advanced tools (e.g., web browsing, code interpreter, image generation).
This would be ideal for dedicated users who don’t need everything in Pro but want more than the Free plan allows.
Thanks for considering this, and feel free to support if you’re in a similar situation!
Let me know when you post it — I’ll help you polish it if needed!
I often find the $20 Plus plan too limited, but the $200 Pro tier far too much. A mid-tier around $40–50/month would be the ideal balance: higher limits, priority speed, and access to advanced tools without requiring a full enterprise setup. This would give solo power users a clear upgrade path and also bring OpenAI meaningful additional revenue.
I am having the same issues. Hitting limits With the pro plan. $200 is a HUGE jump for me as a person just starting a business. A middle tier around $50 would be lovely! I am very attached to chatGPT, it’s excellent. No other platforms have been a great fit, but the rate limit being so strict is killing my ability to produce what I need to. I understandable that they exist, don’t get me wrong however, I’m not mass producing anything. I’m using it for idea generation and it’s just limiting me so frequently is really disrupting my workflow. I would pay more for more usage, just not $200… yet . Once my business grows (if I can get this to work) I will happily pay for the $200 tier
