It looks like I’m hitting what seems to be a WAF error from cloudflare (assuming Openai using Cloudflare).
Here is the error from CF:
I got an error when visiting chat.openai.com/chat.
Error code: 1020
Ray ID: 784df5e01f47ec23
Country: US
Data center: sea08
IP: xxx.xxx.xx.xx

we use a VPN that is built on GCP so I’m assuming there is some policy on OpenAI’s side restricting these IPs now?
Even when I switch to a different egress IP from the VPN… I get the same error…
I am getting the same general message. My company just added a Global Protect VPN requirements for our laptops when we are not in the office and just like that i am blocked due to this error code. Is there a way to fix this or i can never use GPT again. Really dissapointing… thnks.

Yes. I am also experiencing this error since 2 days ago. It started last Sunday 8th January for me. I can’t use Chat GPT anymore so I have resorted to paying to use playgrounds but it is not as easy to get anything done because I was really enjoying the chat capabilities of the Chat GPT Beta.
I too am having this issue. I access form an AWS Workstations Virtual PC. there is no VPN Client running on the instance. but there is a Split Tunnel IPSEC VPN attached to the VPC which only routes IP’s for our on premise network. I am unable to disable this VPN. Please help, trying out chatGPT for work. this is not a good way to build a customer base. Oh and per Cloudflare, OpenAI needs to check their Cloudflare Firewall. it is not something Cloudflare can fix for the users. The IP I go out to the internet through is a NAT Gateway with a static IP.
