Friday fun: whom do you want to nominate to the OpenAI Board?

What a week! After nerve-racking suspense and anxieties, I hope we have a collective sigh of relief. Let’s have some fun to shake off all the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

If you were given a chance, whom would you nominate to the OpenAI Board in addition to the current 3-person body?

My picks:

Both Altman and Brockman should be back on the board. Microsoft should have one seat.

Andrej Karpathy, a founding member of OpenAI, the former leader of Tesla AI, etc. But they are not his only qualifications. We all know that the AI is the most valuable and well-guarded skills today and in the years to come. The guy is sincerely sharing them on his YouTube channel and offering the world free highest quality education. If that is not the meaning of “serving humanity”, I don’t know what else would be. His superb communication skills on YouTube could turn any dummy like me to an AI expert. He could be an ideal representative of employees and developers on the board.

Bryan Johnson Blueprint Project, yeah, the guy who wants to let him and humanity live forever. He has no motivation to make money (already a billionaire). He actually spends his money for a better humanity. He lives in such a disciplined way no other rich people would do just to help human life itself.
