Free trial credit expiry date

I just started using the API, and I see I got USD 5,00 awarded as a free trial. That is nice, however it shows an expiration date of jan 1st, 2024 - which is just about three months from now.
Wasn’t it supposed to be valid for ONE YEAR?
It looks to me like the expiration date is calculated on basis of the “calendar year”, which would make the free credit virtually useless for somebody starting late december.

I would appreciate, if OpenAI would adjust this duration to actually 365 days for everybody.

You got extra days out of your three month trial. They advance the expiration to the end of the month where expiration would have occurred.
