Being language models, it’s good to format your prompts in a way that makes instructions clear and simple for them to understand. An easy way to do so is with markdown.
We can define code blocks, headers, emulate math with LaTeX and more. The downside to this is it does not render in the prompt box. This makes our prompts more difficult to read, especially if they are complex and have multiple parts.
If markdown renders as we type it users would be more incentivised to use it, prompts, and therefore responses, would be of higher quality and the desktop app would have a more modern finish.
