Request: Bring the "copy as markdown format" to the Desktop App

Hey OpenAI team! :wave:

First off, love the macOS desktop app—it’s sleek, fast, and almost perfect. Almost. :wink:

The one thing I miss dearly is the ability to copy responses as Markdown format (like in the browser). It’s a small but mighty feature that keeps my workflow smooth, especially when I’m juggling code snippets and formatting-heavy notes.

Currently, I find myself switching back to the browser just to grab those sweet, Markdown-formatted copies. :sweat_smile: Can we get this back in the desktop app? Pretty please with a markdown checkbox on top? :smile:

Hi! For the exact same reason I’m also not using the desktop app on my Mac. When using copy in the browser version, it returns well formatted markdown while the desktop app returns just rtf. Usually I’m copying useful responses entirely (not the whole conversation but a given entire response) into markdown files in my projects, but this workflow is really not possible using the desktop app.
I hope, there’d be a config option soon allowing to specify the copy behavior.
