Feature Request: Bookmarks Inside ChatGPT Conversations

I’d like to suggest adding a bookmarking system inside ChatGPT conversations.

As conversations and projects become longer, it can be difficult to return to an important answer, decision, code snippet, research result, or reference without scrolling through hundreds of messages or searching repeatedly.

The idea would be simple: allow users to bookmark any message or response and access saved bookmarks from a dedicated panel.

Useful capabilities could include:

  • Bookmark any user or assistant message.
  • Add an optional title, note, or tags to a bookmark.
  • A Bookmarks panel for quick navigation back to the exact point in the conversation.
  • Filter bookmarks by current conversation, current project, or all ChatGPT.
  • Organize bookmarks into folders or collections.
  • Search within saved bookmarks.
  • Jump directly from a bookmark to its original context in the conversation.

This could become a lightweight personal knowledge index inside ChatGPT, especially useful for long-running projects, research, coding sessions, and conversations containing many important decisions.

The goal isn’t to create another note-taking system — simply to make important moments inside ChatGPT easy to save, organize, and revisit.
