Feature Request: Bookmarks & Custom Folders for Long-Term Chats

I think ChatGPT would benefit enormously from having bookmarks for individual messages and custom folders for chats.

As someone who uses ChatGPT for long-running conversations, I often have to scroll through a huge amount of messages to find something I remember discussing weeks or even months ago. It would be incredibly useful to be able to save specific messages as bookmarks and jump directly back to them later.

:bookmark: Message bookmarks

Users could bookmark individual messages and optionally give them a name, for example:

- “Korean – Particles”

- “Painting feedback”

- “Important realization”

- “Room idea”

- “Nightly thoughts – August 25”

A small bookmark panel could then show all saved messages and take the user directly to that point in the conversation.

:file_folder: Custom chat folders

It would also be great to organize conversations into personal folders, for example:

- :books: Learning

- :artist_palette: Creative

- Private

- :crescent_moon: Nightly Thoughts

- :light_bulb: Ideas

This would be especially useful for people who use ChatGPT continuously over months or years.

I think features like these could turn ChatGPT into more than a place for individual questions. It could become a personal knowledge archive, learning companion, creative workspace, or even a digital journal.

I sometimes have conversations that I would genuinely like to keep as part of my personal journal, but finding a specific moment again months later can be difficult. Being able to bookmark and organize those conversations would make long-term use much more meaningful.

Ideally, I would love to see a combination of:

:bookmark: Message bookmarks + :file_folder: custom chat folders + :magnifying_glass_tilted_right: better navigation/search within long conversations

I think this could make a huge difference for anyone who treats ChatGPT as an ongoing space rather than just a place to ask one-off questions.
