Feature Request: Allow Custom GPT Conversations to Be Added to Projects

Projects and GPT conversations currently operate as separate systems, which breaks workflow continuity.

I was actively testing my own Custom GPT inside ChatGPT as part of a structured workflow. I wanted to organize those test conversations inside a Project to track iterations, compare outputs, and keep everything in one place.

I also tested GPTs from the GPT Store for similar tasks and ran into the same limitation.

In both cases, I could not add those conversations to a Project or start them within one, which broke the workflow I was trying to build.

What’s Needed

Users building and testing their own Custom GPTs, as well as users working with GPTs from the GPT Store, need the ability to:

  • Start a chat with a Custom GPT inside a Project

  • Start a chat with a GPT from the GPT Store inside a Project

  • Move existing GPT conversations into Projects

  • Organize testing, evaluations, and prompt iterations within Projects

Totally get what you’re aiming for, bringing Projects and GPT conversations into a single workspace would make iterating, testing, and comparing outputs a lot more seamless.

I’ll make sure this gets captured and shared as product feedback so the team can consider it.
