I repeatedly encountered a “file not found” or inaccessible download issue when trying to retrieve generated image files in ChatGPT. Despite following the assistant’s instructions and receiving links such as sandbox:/mnt/data/filename.png, clicking or copying these links does not provide access to the file. This occurred across multiple chats, even after re-uploading source files and generating new outputs. It appears that the sandbox environment resets or restricts access to these files, preventing successful downloads. A more stable and accessible file handling or download mechanism is needed to ensure users can retrieve generated content without disruption.
