When starting a new voice call with my dot in the ChatGPT iOS app, the assistant initially claims it doesn’t know my name, although I’ve repeatedly provided it and asked it to remember it.
Steps to reproduce:
- Provide your name and ask the assistant to remember it.
- Start a new voice call and ask, “What’s my name?”
- It replies, “You haven’t told me your name.”
- After “Look it up,” it retrieves the correct name.
- Restart the call, and the issue happens again.
Expected: Available personal context should be used from the first response.
This previously worked. Repeatedly asking it to save my name does not resolve the issue. Observed on October 5, 2026. iOS and app versions have not yet been recorded.
