Long conversations need better navigation.
I would like to be able to search within a conversation and jump directly to the original location of a search result.
Ideally, specific messages or positions in a conversation should also have stable anchors or links, so that a user can return to exactly that point later.
This becomes increasingly important as conversations grow very long. A long-running conversation can contain hundreds or thousands of messages, and scrolling manually to find a particular passage is impractical.
This is not just a convenience feature. For conversations that develop over time, the chronological position of a statement can be essential to understanding its meaning and development.
A useful implementation would therefore provide:
search within the current conversation;
direct jump from a search result to its original position;
stable links or anchors to individual messages;
ideally, the ability to return to a previously bookmarked position.
The goal is simple: if I know what I am looking for, I should be able to get directly to that point in the conversation.
