Deleted invoice history once retuned to unpaid user

I have been a plus subscriber for 2,5 years. After 6 months of the deciine and neverending hell, I didn’t renew my subscription. 3 days later, OpenAi has deleted all past invoice history, from the account.

Agent bots said, just because my license ended, invoice history shouldn’t be deleted.

Now I got an email with :

“Once a paid subscription plan, such as Plus, ends and the account reverts to a free plan, access to billing history and past invoices is no longer available directly in the account interface. This change does not mean the invoices were deleted, but rather that they are no longer visible within the self-serve billing section.”.

Help me understand this. Like in what world is this okay. The assumption is nobody needs past invoices, if they stop paying?
