It looks like there are going to be some fine-tuning updates.
I don’t think that any of this really matters for developers until they give the api o1 acces. Why would any of this matter if you can’t connect this to your ide via the API?
It really don’t, it is OpenAI ChatGPT set of basic tools. Not every user is a developer obviously, but giving users advanced tools at hello bridges that gap.
I thought that it would come out to day since Altman said that they would release something for developers. But, I can’t really see any developer benefiting from this properly without the API .
I hear you, though, in that o1 API would’ve been cool to have first. I’m sure they spent a lot of time thinking about how to release everything and in what order.

ETA: Okay, it looks like Reinforcement is coming early next year…
