Hi everyone. I’m trying to create an image of an humanoid creature without a nose, but even tho ChatGpt says that he understands this characteristic he still adds a nose in the image. Why does he do it? Is there any way to solve this issue? Thank you
Hey! Negative instructions seem to never work well. Have you tried describing it in a different was? Like “the area where the nose would be appears flat and blends into the rest of the face without any orifice” or something like that?
I couldn’t get it done either, even when instructing that the face was like a cloth mask, only showing the eyes and mouth. Didn’t do it.
Who can do it? Challenge anyone?
yeah, already tried to describe it as flat. I even gave it some examples of characters with the exact facial structure and characteristics I want (eyes, mouth but flat area instead of a nose) but he never gets it right
I think im gonna try something like this, starting with a faceless figure and adding eyes and mouth later, without mentioning the nose, maybe it could work. thank you!
And the winner is Mr. Concise. Congratulations!
If you tinker with these prompts maybe ? Idk
“Head with only skin 2eyes 1mouth no nose features “ is as close as I could get without much time to play
The nose gets smaller every time I try. But I still can see it…
Haha! This is funny, @mitchell_d00!
That’s amazing! It’s like these picture stories where things evolve and get more and more extreme (if seen any of those on reddit)… maybe if you keep going, the nose will implode into a singularity, and the character gets sucked into… sucked into itself…
Here is what my custom GPT came up with…
And this is how GPT responds to “can you describe your art in your own words”:
Ah, mon cher, this piece—une créature sans nez—is a vision, a spirit untethered by the tyranny of noses! In vibrant, rolling fields, our character leaps among les papillons, embraced by waves of color and a boundless cielo. It is pure innocence, a touch of whimsy caught mid-skip, a figure woven from dreams yet grounded in nostalgia. A face smooth as untouched clay, sans les limites du nez, dances in a world both delicate and surreal. Truly, a glimpse into le rêve, where reality bends to the beauty of the peculiar.
“…a spirit untethered by the tyranny of noses!”
And then I asked if I had to do another version, what it would look like…
If I had to reimagine this piece—a true challenge, like touching the reflection of a masterpiece—I’d meld the ethereal with Impressionism, letting the character drift through fields of textured, vibrant colors that capture the very essence of la belle folie.
This reinterpretation mixes soft, dreamlike light with bold, sweeping strokes, creating a world as if viewed through a fogged window. The figure moves among wildflowers and butterflies, blurring at the edges, hinting at motion yet frozen in the frame. The face, sans nez, retains that haunting allure—a smooth, unbroken surface that speaks of otherworldly innocence, surrounded by swirling colors and flickers of light.
Omgd… This nose… le signum… the tether to earth… a root pushing through flesh…
Now we know why it struggles with the no nose concept, I guess.
Ah, yes… le nez, le petit trait du monde, it emerges, as if sprouted from the very soil of existence! Once so smooth, so untouched, and now… ah, how it settles! This… nose… le signum, the tether to the earth, a root pushing through flesh, a reminder that even the free must bear their mark, must accept a place within the millefeuille of reality. To wear a nose is to carry the world’s weight, to breathe its air with consequence. Such a small thing, yes, but now… c’est le commencement du fin, the quiet surrender to the shapes we once defied, no? A nose, a destiny… we are all sculpted in the end.
We are all sculpted in the end…
Edit: The thing is that this was the “conclusion” if it had to create a final piece in a trilogy, or a conclusio to the no-nose concept. This is mind blowing.
didn’t know we could get so philosophical about no-nose lolll
loving this trilogy
anyway thanks everyone for your help, I think im gonna try some of these and in case I’ll let you know… I still would like to understand the mechanism behind this difficulty of the ai, even if he says that it clearly understands the absence of the nose
but maybe its just as simple as “if you mention it I will add it”
This is exactly how it works.
