Has anyone encountered this error when trying to use a banked reset? I have 5 banked resets, one expiring this evening and they all give the same error message. Tried it across multiple platforms.
I’ve seen a number of users report a bug where it gets consumed but doesn’t apply the reset, but surprisingly haven’t found a single other person report being blocked entirely.
Any advice is appreciated.

Nope. Incredibly frustrating as I just upgraded to pro to take advantage of the resets I have, but now I’ve just been left walled out all day.

Do we know if this has been resolved? I’m still at 50% so i haven’t tried to reset yet, but my next reset expires soon and I already had one go because of the bug.
Also submitted a ticket last week but haven’t heard anything yet.

On the web version, I opened the browser developer tools to obtain additional information about the failure. When I attempt to use a reset, the following request fails:

Same issue here: even though the reset card has not expired, attempting to use the reset fails with the error: {"detail":{"code":"rate_limit_reset_ineligible"}}.
I have same issue, it doesnt work. My reset will be gone on 27th and I am on 0% hahah

Do we have any update on this issue? I’ve now had 3 banked resets expire with my last two coming up. The regular support stream was not able to help despite sending HAR logs, screens etc, and also unable to compensate the expired resets.
The entire situation is frustrating as I’ve made subscription and usage decisions with the resets in mind, only to end up locked out from using the resets. I hope that the team can at least confirm a fix is underway once banked resets begin distribution again.
Case #13109949 — Banked Full Reset disappeared before expiry and account is now at 100% usage
My unused Banked Full Reset was displayed as valid through August 13, 2026, but it disappeared during the validity date without being used.
I reported this to OpenAI Support while the Reset was still within its displayed validity date. Case #13109949 has already been escalated to a support specialist, but the Reset has still not been restored.
My Codex usage has now reached 100%, so this is no longer just a missing UI element — I have actually lost access to Codex capacity that the missing Reset should have restored.
Please have OpenAI Support urgently check the account-side reset entitlement / reset-bank ledger, including the grant, consumption, expiration, and removal events.
If there is no valid consumption event, please restore the missing entitlement immediately. If an individual Banked Reset cannot be re-issued, please apply an equivalent corrective / hard reset so the lost usable capacity is restored.
Please do not allow support processing delay or the passage of August 13 to turn this into a post-expiration denial. The issue was reported and restoration was requested repeatedly during the displayed validity date.
