I request an update for sidebar. It would be better if it allows to bookmark chats, can able to create folders to include similar type of chats or chats related to a single project at one place, can pin the important chats on the top of the list. Somewhat, similar to the windows explorer sidebar, search option to filter the chats.

Yes, I totally agree. I think this is right now the single most important requirement. I will try to find a recommended features list, ( So far, have not found it

Fully agree! It was all nice and dandy when we were new and just using ChatGPT as expansive google search engine asking it where to best park our car of cooking tips, but now that many of us are using it at work, for projects, reports, complex issues, help with taxes, resumes and CV’s and basically everything we really need some order in our chats. It’s becoming a real effort to find certain chats, especially if they are older! It can’t be that hard, the creators of this very forum seem to be able to know how to make a proper sidebar! Ask them!

Hi OpenAI. I would like to make a feature suggestion in your webui for your chatbot chatGPT, maybe this has been mentioned. Could you add custom segmentation in the sidebar? i start a lot of chats and often lose track of a specific conversation I’ve had, being that earlier in the day or week and spend quite a bit of time trying to find that. If there were some sort of segmentation, i could add sections and possibly personal notes about conversations as i go, ideally this implementation is sleek. Side note: I have been thinking about using the project function as it would solve this issue… I hope this explanation is clear enough. Thanks alot
