ChatGPT Plus has become like the free version, but no one is responding!

I’m using the Plus version. These issues have occurred for me on the web version since yesterday:

  • The text input length limit has been reduced to the same as the free versions.
  • When I send a file, it can’t analyze it and treats it as an empty message.
  • In the o1-mini and o1-preview models, the “thinking phase” doesn’t show, and it behaves like a regular model.
  • Overall, it feels like I’m not a Plus user!

These issues don’t occur in the Android app version, at least not for now!

Update:
After more than 10 days, the issue was resolved for me; I didn’t take any action to fix it, and it resolved itself today.

yes what you are saying is correct

Don’t waste your time, switch to another company. After a lot of unproductive communication with support, I finally received no response, and they just kept saying that ‘your issue is being investigated.’ The interesting part is that no reason has been given for the issue, and without any prior notice, they canceled access to the Plus version features. I really have no idea what the reason might be, but one possibility could be the use of a VPN; I always used a VPN to access ChatGPT, though with a fixed and dedicated IP. The confusing part is why the Android app version still works fine, and this restriction is only applied to the web version!?

Anyway, I’ve switched to Claude since yesterday! Although I’ve been hurt by unfinished projects in the process, I just couldn’t wait any longer.

Well, strange, strange…

Which VPN do you use? I deny that using a VPN cancels your Plus subscription when it doesn’t even block access to ChatGPT. I use a VPN myself and haven’t faced any such issues. Maybe it’s something specific to the VPN you’re using -some shady, sketchy one, maybe?
And if these “restrictions” only apply to the web version, are you using the VPN on your Android device too? Strange, strange…

But hey, yeah, don’t waste your time. Switch to another company. Claude, you say? That’s fine. OpenAI won’t hold a grudge I suppose.
Just curious though… is this post some subtle Claude ad? Didn’t realize they needed promotion when they’re always dealing with high demand, limiting reply lengths, or switching to haiku mode due to overload.

And back to the main topic - it’s also strange that they canceled your access to the Plus version just because you had “unproductive communication with support.” Like… really? I don’t know the full story here, so hard to say whose fault it is. But still, $20 is likely the least of their concerns, considering they burn money on every Plus subscription. Revenge? Doesn’t seem like their style. So, what exactly happened during this “unproductive communication”?

Something’s off here. Strange, strange…

I really don’t understand where this level of delusion is coming from!
I was simply sharing the course of my issue and the diagnosis of the person I consulted. I’ve been using the ChatGPT Plus version for almost two years, and it has always met my needs. Competitors like Claude have never been able to perform at ChatGPT’s level. Right now, Claude is much weaker than ChatGPT, and I’m only using it out of necessity to avoid further losses, as it’s been a week now and all of our access to the Plus version has been canceled, and no one is responding.
As for the VPN I use, you asked; I’m using a personal server from a reputable website with a high ranking, and I also use the same VPN for the Android app.
