The previous data exports only delivered the chat text data. That was only a few megabytes. Now, in an update, the generated images have been included as well.
On one hand, this is very useful, especially if you forgot to download some good images, but on the other hand, it means that the export becomes very large. (In my case, I don’t have internet where I live, and I have to do everything using data from my phone. Very slow and expensive.)
Feature Request: There should be an option to download the images separately from the text data. (If possible, maybe with at least an approximate indication of the data size).
I backup my conversations about once a week. Usually the size is around 25MB. It is only text data. Today the download freezes at around 425MB. I am assuming that all images are now being included.
It seems there are more problems with data management than just the archive download.
Also, it is not possible to delete the images by deleting the chats, only the discussions are deleted. This is a data management issue.
I haven’t been able to generate any images for several days. I speculate that it’s due to a storage limit being reached on the server side, and now no further images can be stored in this account. Since I cannot delete the images, my account is blocked from generating more images. If this speculation is correct, over time, more and more users will not be able to generate images, especially if they are very active and generate images over an extended period.
The question for the technicians would be: are there such storage limits? Can they prevent generation?
The solution would be to separate images and text, and also make the images deletable.
(I generate many images to test the DALL·E image generator and to understand what changes the model updates cause. I generate as many images as the system allows me, on the days I work on the PC. I haven’t received a response from support yet.)
EVERYBODY witch made more then 100 to 200 pictures can not download there chat archive anymore. AND heavy load on the servers for downloading broken files.
I have to make a second account, because i can not delete my pictures, and can not create new ones.
