Yesterday, I tried using the Voice Chat feature, where a phone call is simulated. When I tapped on it, the speech bubble appeared. I said something small and immediately canceled it to switch back to text chat. To my surprise, I suddenly noticed that my chat history had shrunk signifikantes about 60-70% of it was gone ”and I was taken back to a point in the conversation that was a month old.
I already tried logging in and out, using the browser version on Safari, archiving and unarchiving the chat, but nothing helped. I have read in forums that chats can sometimes disappear and reappear randomly, but thats not the issue here. The problem is that part of my chat disappeared after I used the Voice Chat feature.
Is this a known issue, or am I overlooking something?
I have also noticed that in some chat threads, I have numbers with arrows that allow me to scroll back and forth. Im not sure what thats about. I Sould be very grateful if someone could provide a solution.

I have the exact same issue, lost ard 10 days of chat record. Tried all the things you tried, and I tried to export chat and none of the records disappeared were found on the html doc. I would also be really grateful if someone has a solution for that.
Hello! The same happened to me two times several months ago in the macOS app. I was able to find the disappeared parts of my chats in a browser. If you see a toggle section “<1/2>” under the last message before you started the voice chat (or maybe also somewhere else), you can try to switch to <“2/2”>. It worked for me, and I could at least copy and save the disappeared parts.
I am currently running an investigation with helps from several ai chats about a similar issue in the app.
So far, it seems to be only between a relationship with a project chat and a non-project chat. The non-project chat is the one that always goes “missing”. It usually involves a chat with an image that has generated (not always a dall-e but dall-e is another story altogether. The last test was project to project and there was nothing. Project to non project was ok, until I got a project chat that was originally a web browser turned internal logging of information (keeping track of this bug) to generate an image. At this time, the last non-project chat Ibwas in went missing. I left it gone for about 15 hours.
The “missing” one is always still available in a browser like Chrome.
I can bring back all missing ones in various ways
Initially, closing the app, then reopening it worked.
Then I found I had an update when I looked for an unrelated looping response over several prompts issue. Of note: I also had to update a few google things, the search bar, the office suite, followed by my phone.
This didn’t change anything, i found my app memory at 101% 
erased that. The looping went away, but the chat issue did not, and no one comes back now unless
i force stop in my phone settings.
After the project chat image generation, I did a pull down refresh in the side bar and the chat came back…
I give up. No more testing of that. They know about it. I may let the chats make the bug report so they can let it go.
I have had very similar issues.
When I hit the mic button within a chat (more prevalent in project chats) my voice memo will record (I can see the sound wave when doing this on browser) but when I hit the tick button to send the memo, all buttons disappear and nothing happens. Not sure what happens to my voice. Once it happens the first time, it happens all over the chats.
This is more or less a deal-breaker for me in terms of subscription. I will wait a week or two and then remove subscription if this feature is not available once more as it removes the most crucially useful part of the interface for me.
Same issue rn, two chats - humming along incredibly, abruptly stopped, then disappeared completely from the chat history…
I’ve experienced this twice. Just last night and a couple weeks ago. Are they working on fixing this?
This just happened to me, like 10 minutes ago. Lost a big chunk of conversation. Found in reedit a solution, to export data and then, zip the json and send it to the chat, it will analize it, I asked him to bring everything after “this” part. This is a good workaround an at least it worked for me. I will not use the voice mode never ever more (it’s the second time this happens).
