I’m trying to install ChatGPT’s API in Typing Minds but this error code came out
“Could not connect to OpenAI API. Please try again later. This could be because OpenAI’s server is experiencing high demand and rejected your request. Go to https://status.openai.com/ to check their status. Error code:403”
i have searched and searched the web but got no answer. The status page is green so no known issues at this present time. help please
Thanks so much! I think that’s the best step to do, I’ll try it then!
Edit: Sorry i realize i dont know what curl tho I can see that in my Open AI Playground (like as you suggested) when i click on </>
The LLM runs as per normal like how i would chat with ChatGPT, no issues with that…just that I’m a bit confused on the curl part, and how do I run it on my “device”? As I’m already running the open AI on my desktop already
Sorry, not a technical person and very beginner here
EDit again:
i tried bettergpt and put in my API key but this error popped out
{
“error”: {
“message”: “Project proj_M3zjqpzmrK0mSXWFzs3dfsun does not have access to model gpt-4”,
“type”: “invalid_request_error”,
“param”: null,
“code”: “model_not_found”
}
}
Yeah, it’s exactly the same model of AI just wrapped a little differently
This is the advice you should really listen to; don’t give your API keys to someone you wouldn’t be comfortable with having your credit card, because the two things function in much the same way.
Hey thanks so much!
I have some edits in my previous post for more context.
I guess these LLM providers are quite established, so I’m OK with that (super appreciate the caution and concern tho), just puzzled because I do want to use my API for processes and if i can’t get this to work then I’m basically stuck and can’t do much more expression and explorations.
I actually need it for my work as I am the head of developing these and need to report back, so it’s important that i try to troubleshoot it, let alone understand what is the issue so that I’m aware of how to go about it
I’m going to be completely honest with you and say that none of the services you’ve mentioned are established LLM providers at all, as in they don’t provide their own models. All they do is provide you with a visual interface for the API, which you can actually get for free.
Ah ok well, i’m trying to experiment with different ways to use AI and I actually am tasked to find out what more i can do with APIs and if there are ways to be more technical with it
Also with visual interfaces, some of it offer more flexibility in terms of usage of models so that i can experiment which model suits me and also i can custom use it without paying for the whole subscription which i may not need
Also i find that the visual interface gives me more flexibility in terms of tokens and context as compared to the native one, and they have their own additional buttons and suggestions as well, which I find interesting.
Just sharing my “why”
But the playground seems very interesting too. i will also try more on it as well
Hey Mike.
Yes, it’s a visual interface but they haven’t limited themselves to one model and I actually think it’s actually a bloody awesome one. Its not necessarily better than OpenAi interface, it just offers a unique workflow. Developer is active and business model is stable.
So back to the problem you originally asked🤣
I would simply reset your API code and keep a copy somewhere safe like a trusted password manager. Then go into settings in T_Mind and replace the old one with the freshly generated one.
As project folders now have the ability to have a specific API added to a project, for specific project billing, check that there aren’t any that have the same last 4-5 characters as the one you want to replace.
