Cannot log into ChatGPT using Firefox

I am trying to log into ChatGPT using Firefox. Just navigate to chatgpt and click on Login and nothing happens. I look in the console, and this error is repeated many times, whenever I click Login:

The resource at “WTF why cant we include links in our post openai” preloaded with link preload was not used within a few seconds. Make sure all attributes of the preload tag are set correctly.

Here Same issue, tried different User-Agents and With or Without Adblocker but nothing works..
FireFox Version 147.0

for some reason some of my other firefox profiles are working with chatgpt. I can type and see messages, clicking the login button actually pulls up the Log in or Sign up window

but my main firefox profile can’t send messages and if I refresh the page and am lucky enough that pressing Enter actually sends a message, I can’t see the reply

Same issue here with 147.0

yeah, having the same issue here. Sometimes I can login, but then I cannot see the chats or responses….

Same issue for me. Clearing history does not help. Chrome browser and mobile app work flawlessly.

since my other profiles of firefox were working I renamed all the prefs.js in my main profile to something else then dropped in the prefs.js from my working profile

of course that didn’t work so I deleted prefs.js then renamed my old prefs.js back to normal… and now chatgpt works…

I think it has something to do with IndexedDB. check console >storage > indexedDB and my working profile now has 2 entries where before it had 0

This has got to be a Firefux problem then yeah?

In Firefox `about:config` I removed br and zstd from the configuration `network.http.accept-encoding.secure`. I now only have gzip, deflate.

It solved the issue. And if I put back br and zstd the issue reappears.

Are you sure it’s safe to do?

Won’t it affect security and general functionality on other websites?

All my tabs are currently working. Even UI like Matrix, Mattermost, GitHub, LinkedIn, Google.

When you change a setting in Firefox, there is an icon to revert the change. I’ll try in the coming days until it works again with the default settings. But currently with the change I did it works.

Hmm!

I’ll prefer to wait.

Removing only ‘br’ was enough for me.

Same here, can’t login or even use ChatGPT if I don’t modify the accept-encoding and remove the broption, as @Craig_Miller stated.
