Hi there! It’s been long time since Codex mobile released, I still can connect to the Codex desktop. No mobile connection in sidebar, no popup to guide how to connect although I upgraded to the latest version both mobile and desktop. I use pro plan subscription and able to use Codex cloud long time ago, I still can do task on the cloud but not able to add the desktop device to mobile. Furthemore, the browser and computer use feature is disabled.
I just see the popup “Welcome to Codex mobile” in ChatGPT app once, but nothing happened. I’m in Vietnam, just wonder doese the Codex roll it out to my country?

Could you clarify the exact setup you’re using?
• Mobile device: iOS or Android?
• Desktop host: Windows or macOS?
• ChatGPT mobile app version
• Codex desktop app version
• Windows/macOS version
Windows remote control support was only added in the May 29 release, so I’d make sure both the mobile app and desktop app are fully updated.
Vietnam is listed as an OpenAI-supported country/territory generally, but I don’t see a separate public list for Codex mobile supported regions. So this could still be rollout/account/region gating or a bug.
I’d also recommend you to check the related topics below this thread, since a few people seem to be running into similar Codex mobile/remote-control issues and there may be useful troubleshooting details there.

Hope it help! And yes, I’ve seen some similar topic and it not the same my case. Atleast, they have mobile connection in the sidebar of Codex desktop app.
Thanks for the details. Since the connection option is not appearing even with updated apps, I’d open a support case so OpenAI can investigate further. You can do that trough Help.
Include the setup details you shared here, screenshots, your region, and mention that you saw the “Welcome to Codex mobile” popup once but no connection flow appeared afterward.
Also, this topic is similar match to your issue. If you already haven’t check it, I’d recommend you to do that, before contacting the support in case there is something that might help you.

Connecting ChatGPT mobile to Codex on macOS should be a straightforward process. Please try the following steps:

Confirm that both apps are up to date:
- ChatGPT app on your mobile device
- Codex app on your Mac

Open the Codex app on macOS.

On your mobile device, open the ChatGPT app and select Codex from the sidebar.

Follow the on-screen instructions in the ChatGPT app to complete the pairing process.
Please also make sure both your Mac and mobile device are connected to the internet before attempting to pair them.
Does the ellipsis (…) menu in the top right show a Connections option?
I meant the ellipsis menu in the codex tab.
