Billing - past Usage is not visible

Hi-I purchased a paid plan for API keys & used it however the details are not visible in the billing history & there are no past invoices.

Is this a common problem & how do I resolve it?

You only get invoices if you get invoiced monthly. Which is practically nobody.

In the API there’s no “plan”. There’s just pre-purchase of credits to pay for services.

You can see the available account balance you have paid in here:

And the usage is by bar graph and drill-down, unless you use the auditing API.

You can pick, “group by line item” and see different models.

At upper-left, be sure you pick the “project” that you created an API key under.

This is fine. Thanks. But am i supposed to see past usages here?

I did recharge the account but somehow the bar chart shows nothing which is a little strange
There has to be somewhere I should be able to track the usage…

I think you might have gone through onboarding, and then be getting some free usage for mini models (OpenAI doesn’t say quite who gets this or how much). The $18 means to me it is a very old account organization, likely created in parallel when you signed up for ChatGPT when it first got some buzz.

You can go down to chat completions, and click through, and see any actual usage not by the monetary amount (not) billed, but by the token consumption.

Again, at upper-left in that UI, make sure you pick the correct organization (some accounts may have more than one), and then the project in which you created an API key being used.
