Best pathway for aspiring CS student?

I’m relatively new to the AI community, I also wanted to introduce myself on the forum, hello everyone!. With computer science now having one of the highest unemployment rates, I am trying to use ChatGPT to maximize my marketable skills. I want to utilize AI in my future work to give me an edge, but with the uncertainty of the field and future job markets, I was wandering if any CS veterans could give a newcomer some helpful advice as to what specialities within the field of AI development or adjacent fields are the best bet?
