I was looking for credible sources to support my research. I have asked ChatGPT to provide me relevant journal articles to the topic that I’ve typed in. ChatGPT responded with 5 journal articles. However, all 5 journal articles does not exist. Topics are no where to search, most sources even have wrong author names attached it. This will be a horrible experience for users that does not check the source.
ChatGPT is a language model, not an expert system.
This topic (completely made up references) has been covered myriad times in this community and the fact that ChatGPT is a generative AI which generates a lot of blah, blah.
