App returns "app returned "Files with extensions [.csv] are not supported for retrieval."

Hi everyone!

I used to be able to upload a CSV file to the assistants using zapier. It worked fine for months but it stopped working about 3 days ago (same time as last update?). The link to send me to doenst even work either.

Any ideas on how to fix this? any workarounds?

Thanks in advance!

If you follow the link, you will see CSV is not on the list.

You can save it as a text file, and see if that also isn’t auto-detect as CSV by their poor attempt at document scanner/validator/blocker.

The vector database now used will likely have very poor results on CSV when searching by semantic comparison to user input.

However, nobody seems to have given a thought that Python code interpreter also needs upload access to a wide variety of files, and now can’t even “sort this list”.

Why would they stop supporting somethign that was working ok? So can you think of any workrounds to using csv data?

Hey, I got the same issue and the solution for me was to turn off file search option the assistant setting, and it will fix it

Now happening to me. Turned on file search and code intepreter but nothing. Very digusted. Seems something is broken with OpenAI

This is annoying. CSV is now listed in supporting files documentation but i’m still seemingly getting this error.
