I recently submitted my app and waited for about a month, only to find out it was rejected. However, I didn’t receive any detailed explanation or feedback on why it was rejected.
Could anyone guide me on:
-
Where can I find the specific rejection reason or review logs on the developer portal? (Is there a specific tab or section I might be missing?)
-
Who or where should I contact to request clarification or appeal the decision?
Welcome to the Community. @_millie.on!
Thanks for reaching out. If your ChatGPT app submission was rejected, please reply directly to the rejection email you received and include a clear explanation of why you are appealing, any new information that may help the review team, and your submission Case ID.
If you have addressed the review feedback, you can update and resubmit the app through the OpenAI Platform Dashboard. You can review the official submission guidance here: https://developers.openai.com/apps-sdk/deploy/submission
Please do not post passwords, OAuth credentials, API keys, access tokens, private review details, or personal information on the public forum.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the warm welcome and the guidance.
The issue is that I never received any rejection email or notification (I have also checked my spam/junk folder). On my developer dashboard, the status of my app simply changed to “Rejected” without any further details or feedback.
Since I don’t have a rejection email to reply to, how should I proceed to find out the rejection reason or submit an appeal?
To follow up on this:
I emailed support@openai.com with my app details regarding this issue. However, I was told that they don’t have access to the review notes and they simply advised me to just fix and resubmit.
Is it actually normal not to receive any rejection email at all when an app is rejected?
I would like to officially inquire with the review team about my app’s rejection reason and receive a proper response. If any moderator can help escalate this issue to the review team, I can provide my app details and Submission ID privately.
Hi everyone, we are in a very similar boat regarding the timeline!
We submitted our Mergado integration just over a month ago (mid-June) and it is still sitting in the review queue. While we haven’t been rejected like the OP, waiting without any updates can be a bit tough. We totally understand the OpenAI team is likely dealing with a huge backlog right now, though!
If anyone from the DevRel team happens to catch this thread: we are super excited to join the ecosystem. We have our sandbox accounts, test credentials, and full documentation completely ready to go. If there is a preferred channel to provide these assets to help speed up the review, we’d love to know.

Thanks and hang in there everyone!
Hey everyone, Can you please open a support request with us and provide your account and app details and we can look into it. Please share the case id here once you submit a request with us. Thank you!
Sorry guys, but I don’t really know where should I find some Send support request.
I cannot see it in https://platform.openai.com/
Where should it be? Or is there any special email adress?
Thanks
Hi and welcome to the community @Mergado_Developers,
You can do it through Help (speech bubble on the right side).
The chat bubble isn’t helping me much. An AI bot keeps trying to assist me. Once it started about GPT Ads.
At the end
“Escalated to a support specialist; You can expect a response in the coming days. Replies will also be sent via email. You can add additional comments to this conversation if needed.”
But no case ID. And I dont know how long it could take the respone

You will receive your case ID, when you get a reply from them by email. It is hard to say how long it might take exactly, sometimes within hour and sometimes within couple of days.
But when you do receive your case ID, you can post it here. Hopefully you don´t have to wait too long
@Mergado_Developers can you send your appsdk id? Case ID is actually more of a historical artifact than anything for us because the review system is built on top of our trust and safety system haha, unfortunately it’s hard to correlate from that
Thanks for correcting me!
Hi @casey-chow , thanks for jumping in!
App ID: `asdk_app_69e233392df88191b50d0847abed7c76`
Submission version: `asdk_app_v_69e2333a1ca08191a944de7a6b07dffe`
To be clear about our case — our app wasn’t rejected, it’s been in review for roughly a month with no updates. Based on the information in this thread we contacted support, and they told us they can’t share status or timelines and that no action is needed from us, which we understand, but it also leaves us with no visibility at all into where the submission stands.
So anything you can tell us from your side would really help — where it is in the process, and especially whether something in the submission is holding it up. If there is an issue, we’d much rather fix it now than keep waiting. Let us know what you need from us.
