I have been an OpenAI subscriber for more than three years, using the account associated with:
During that time, I built more than 30 custom GPTs and over 15 agents that became an essential part of my daily work and business operations.
I also demonstrated and shared these agents with companies, colleagues, and friends. Because of what I built and showed them, several people in my network moved from Claude to ChatGPT and subscribed to business accounts specifically to benefit from ChatGPT’s agent capabilities.
On July 9, 2026, my account was suddenly and completely deactivated without any clear explanation.
When I attempted to log in, I received the following message:
Authentication Error
You do not have an account because it has been deleted or deactivated. If you believe this was an error, please contact us through our Help Center.
Error code: account_deactivated
I also received an email stating that OpenAI had detected activity associated with my account that was allegedly not permitted under its policies and that access to the following organization had been terminated immediately:
Organization ID: org-GaNzcd9NBgtDYO2MNkm16Uy3
I have not knowingly used my account for any activity that violates OpenAI’s policies.
I immediately submitted an appeal on the same day. I then received a response stating that the deactivation had occurred in error and that my account access would be restored.
However, I waited, and my account was never restored.
I contacted support again because I still could not access the account. On July 11, 2026, I received another response under the following case:
OpenAI - Usage Policy Violation Appeal [C-A7zA2RykHmmW]
The message stated:
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to OpenAI Support. After carefully reviewing your account, we are upholding our decision to issue a warning to your access. We will no longer consider additional requests to appeal this case.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best,
The OpenAI team
This response is extremely confusing because my account does not merely have a warning. It has been fully deactivated, and I cannot access ChatGPT, my conversations, my custom GPTs, my agents, or any of the work connected to the account.
There is also a clear contradiction between the two responses I received:
-
I was initially informed that the deactivation had happened in error and that my access would be restored.
-
My account was never restored.
-
I was later told that a “warning” was being upheld, even though the account remained completely deactivated.
I respectfully request that someone from OpenAI’s Account Integrity, Trust and Safety, or senior support team manually review my account and the complete history of this case.
I am fully willing to provide identity verification, proof of account ownership, security information, or any other details required.
I would also appreciate clarification regarding the specific activity that allegedly caused the deactivation. Without being informed of the activity in question, it is impossible for me to understand what happened or take any corrective action.
It is extremely difficult to accept that more than three years of work, including over 30 custom GPTs and 15 agents, could disappear within seconds without a clear explanation, especially after I was initially informed that the deactivation had been made in error.
I have actively supported and promoted ChatGPT for years. I regularly shared new ChatGPT features and updates through my accounts because I genuinely believed in the product and found it highly valuable for businesses and professionals.
I am not asking for special treatment. I am only requesting a fair, consistent, and genuine manual review of my account and the conflicting support responses I received.
I sincerely hope that someone from the appropriate team can investigate this case, explain what happened, and help restore my account and the work connected to it.
Thank you.
