Android App no longer offers model selection anywhere in the App !?

This is actually insane.

I’m a PRO user and I’m no longer provided any model beyond 4o.

The ChatGPT Android app no longer has a model selection for new chats, or existing chats ?

It has been completely dumbed down to ONLY use 4o.

I’m having a hard time believing that they are actually serious - they don’t even look at the product they’re building anymore, it’s incredibly funny.

Here are some screenshots, the dropdown menu that used to have a model selection no longer has anything in it, and it shows up below the triple dot menu button, which also doesn’t have model selection.

Input box also doesn’t have model selection.

Nothing has a model selection on Chatgpt android app right now.
It’s almost like an aprils first joke, but the customers are being mocked at this point.

I wish I could get a refund, I’m not even provided half of what I’m paying for.

Is this a new strategy to suppress GPU/processor consumption by silently cutting off customers ?

I’m also a Pro user, and honestly, I’m seriously considering canceling my subscription.

It’s incredibly disrespectful that OpenAI has removed the option to select models like O3 without any prior notice—especially when many of us are paying a significant monthly fee for the Pro plan. This decision not only limits our options as advanced users but also undermines the value we were promised when subscribing.

If this continues, it’s very likely that a large number of users will cancel their subscriptions, as this unilateral decision shows a clear lack of respect for those of us who rely on the platform and its tools.

There seems to be no valid technical justification for this change, and it gives the impression that you’re simply reducing features while charging the same price. It honestly feels like a mockery of paying customers.

I sincerely hope OpenAI reconsiders this direction. Otherwise, it will be inevitable for many of us to migrate to platforms that actually respect their users.

it was fixed for me when I toggled one of the buttons, and this rendering bug sometimes reappears with the fix sometimes also not working. Rendering is a bit funny.
