I believe ChatGPT as a search engine is undoubtedly the future.
In my case:
My company offers sophisticated, custom-made parts made of advanced ceramics.
For us, it’s incredibly challenging to determine where our potential customers are because there’s no clear pattern or similarity within our existing customer base. Customers often approach us from industries or regions we would never have imagined needing our services.
As a result, the only option we currently have is to guess what customers might type into Google and use those guesses as keywords. However, this approach is highly inefficient and imprecise. In doing so, we inadvertently contribute to “ad pollution.” The problem is exacerbated by other companies employing the same method. The larger the company, the broader and more unfocused their ads become. This leads to a significant overlap of ads, where companies even compete for the same online users, despite offering entirely different services or products with no real overlap in customer needs.
From the user’s perspective, most ads appear irrelevant, wasting both time and resources on both sides.
Now imagine this:
You describe to GPT the strengths of your company, the type of customers you want to attract, and the kind of requests you’re looking for. GPT collects this information, and you pay for it.
On the other side, a user shares their specific requirements for a part or service with GPT.
GPT then matches the customer’s needs with the most suitable company that can fulfill them.
Wouldn’t that be incredible?
You can’t imagine how desperate some customers are when they need a highly specialized part or service (like advanced ceramics, in our case). They waste so much time browsing irrelevant websites, making unproductive calls, and sending emails to companies that can’t help them.
With GPT acting as a bridge, this process could be seamless and efficient, saving time, money, and frustration for everyone involved.
