Account deactivated after attempting to verify identification

This is ridiculous. I saw that I had to verify my identity to access GPT-5 in the playground, so I did. Verification was “successful”, but once I returned to the OpenAI dashboard, I saw that my account was “deactivated”. I still have $20 that I only recently added to the account. How do I get my account back, or at least get a refund??

Hi there, I looked into your account (by your email connected to your username) and from what I can see, you're enabled!

If you’re still disabled or blocked in anyway, let us know at support@openai.com and they’ll be able to help enable you (or at least refund you if there’s a reason we can’t enable you).
