Account Banned for "Distillation" - 2+ Weeks, No Support Response

Account Banned for “Distillation”

TL;DR: Account banned for “distillation” 2+ weeks ago. Support either ignores tickets or claims my email “doesn’t exist” - despite ban notice arriving to that same email.

The ban notification was sent TO THAT EXACT EMAIL.

What I Was Actually Doing:

Building copywriting automation with two-stage pipeline:

  1. Content rewriter for marketing copy

  2. Text cleaner removing technical artifacts

Recent activity that likely triggered the flag:

  • OpenAI Evals Platform for prompt optimization

  • 100+ automated test cases

Pure prompt engineering work.

Anyone else experienced false distillation flags? Any escalation paths beyond regular support?

Hey Yobelock, Apologies for the inconvenience. Can you please open a request with our support team at support@openai.com and share your detail. If you have already opened one, can you please add your forum username and provide us the case id or subject line to track the request and we can discuss it further in the ticket itself as it requires us to gather some of your personal detail. Thank you!

I have already written a large number of requests to
support@openai.com and trustandsafety@openai.com (your bot asked me to write there as well). I haven’t received any ID in a month and a half, and I haven’t received any clear responses, except for the automatic responses from the bot. I don’t really understand what I can provide you with in such a situation. I have the ID of the banned organization, I can provide it.
