Is there a way to gain access to the computer-use model via the API? we are already in tier3. OpenAI support is not helpful. Would like to escalate if possible. Thx!

Computer use is the fastest way to build computer-using agents with CUA, the same model that powers Operator in ChatGPT. You can use this tool to control computers or virtual machines that you operate. You simply pass screenshots to the tool, and it responds with an action you should take like click, scroll, or type. The model is available for select developers on tiers 3–5 as a research preview in the Responses API.
No mechanism to gain access is given, only to be pre-selected.

Wondering why is it selective and on what basis is the access given?
I, for example, sometimes use openai, I have tier 3 and got the computer-use-preview function right away
I filled out the o3 interest form (to not get any pre-release evaluation), so that interest expressed in stuff may be one possibility. Or they just inspect that your API organization usage isn’t proprietarily classified as “trivial” or “dangerous” or other unknown criteria.
