If you’re using VPN service. Turn it off, and try without it. It might be the one causing you not to access the site.

All of these 1020 errors messages are generated by Cloudflare.

There could be many reasons for being flagged and blocked by Cloudflare.

For example, if you are using TOR, it is possible that OpenAI has configured Cloudflare to block TOR end points. It is also possible your are trying to access OpenAI from a blocked country or domain. It is also possible that you are using a proxy server (or VPN) to avoid geo-ip restrictions and Cloudflare has detected this (assuming OpenAI has this type of strict policy in place). There are many other potential reasons you have been flagged by Cloudflare.

At the present, OpenAI is seeing “exponential growth” due to being at the top of the news cycle in the media.

I would guess that OpenAI has configured or constructed Cloudflare to error on the side of being more restrictive and so it is also possible you are being falsely flagged for reasons we could only guess.

It’s unlikely that contacting OpenAI or Cloudflare will resolve the 1020 error, but your best bet is to do more research here:

Can you whitelist my work`s VPN in cloudflair. According to the support article, only the administrator on your side can do it:

I have to use a VPN cause it is not supported in my region. I fixed this problem by switching nodes and change the routing mode to global in v2ray.

VPN is the culprit! I just turned it off and all is well.
