Ability to change email account after registration

The subject speaks for itself.

One may have hundreds of chats archived or saved such as spreadsheet formulas and more. Opening up a new ChatGPT account may not be feasible.

I second this. My email has been hacked and I need to change my subscription email address without losing three months worth of archived chats or going through some long, drawn out process of exporting and importing data. Furthermore, you have the ability to create software that mimics human thought and you can’t incorporate standard account interfaces??!

And you would think they would allow us to export (in bulk) the responses and more. Instead, OpenAI sometimes asks for MFA if it doesn’t recognize your location.

Oh, but now we have to sign in again when we are already signed into ChatGPT to access this community. Brilliant!

Is there really - still - no way for chatgpt users to update/change the email address associated with their account? Customer service is saying it’s not possible, and further, that there’s no way for a user to even back-up/export data without access to that email address, even if a user is able to authenticate their identity, phone number, billing information, etc. Essentially, lose access to an email address, lose everything? How in the world is openai running a business like this?

Agree, this is crazy that we are still asking for this. This is not the way to differentiate or lead in the market. This is a basic service level that is necessity.

Does anyone from openai/chatgpt monitor these forums? Is there any way to back-up / export data after losing access to the email address associated with an account?
