how do i unlock the 3 post nonsense. i want to add more detail and document my experience, but apparently new people aren’t allowed that luxury…

@Gille which topic are you referring to? It may apply to all topics for which you are not the owner, no matter how long you’ve been with us. Are you the OP?

Yes, you can’t make more than three posts in a row, even in topics created by the same user. In cases like this, editing an earlier post is often the better option.

I think the control is you can’t do that unless you are admin, mod or the OP. That’s to facilitate long “project” Topics. Contiguous Reply count is limited for non staff responders who didn’t author the OP.
cool. the funny part, honestly, is that this post unlocked it for me. lol. i guess being curious gets rewarded.

I ran into this issue in one of my own topics in the Lounge as TL-4. I didn’t bother asking to change this setting.
The reason is: spammers and AI slop ruin everything.
