To use ChatGPT, I have to navigate to openai.com, know to hover over the word ‘Products’ at the top of the page, wait for the drop down panel to fade in, move my mouse several inches to the ‘ChatGPT Login’ link under constant fear that the drop panel will vanish, then click it.
Considering that this is the number one thing users will do from this page, and that the opening view only has 20 words and a bunch of colors, I think you should move or copy this link to the top level. Not only is the status quo mildly irritating, but every other web service probably has a point.
I too am finding the whole Login process completely mystifying, with me thnking that there should be a login button at the free system. I asked ChatGPT why it’s so hard, and it gives me a whole list of reasons that make no sense. I find ghosttwo’s frustration understandable, since I too seem to remember that EVERY web system on the planet seems to make login obvious and easy. Why not ChatGPT?
