The link you opened specified a model that isn’t available for your org. We’re using the default model instead.
Could anyone explain the reason behind this error? Specifically, I am wondering if this is related to my organization’s current API Tier level (e.g., do I need to be on a higher tier to access it?)

GPT-5.6 Sol should be available from Tier 1 onward, but it isn’t supported on the Free tier. So if your organization is currently on the Free tier, that would explain the error.
I am tier 3 and the models are still not available in playground.

I can´t be certain, but this could be related to the rollout or temporary access issue. This has happened before with new model releases. I would keep eye on it today and trying to refresh the page later. If you still don´t have access by the end of the day, I would contact support.
Thank you for the reply! I actually have multiple organizations under my account. I can access GPT-5.6 Sol without any issues in the organization that is on Usage Tier 5. However, in another organization that is on Usage Tier 3, it still isn’t working in the playground.

As I mentioned above, it could have to do with the rollout or temporary access issue and since you can access in Tier 5, but not Tier 3, that seems to be like one possible explanation.
Just confirming that we’re also receiving the same error with our tier 3 organisation. Let’s hope it’s fixed shortly

I’m Tier 5 but even for me it ended up unavailable yesterday due to the overwhelming amount of load.
Tier 1, no 5.6 three models, only 5.5 or lower.
I had this issue around 8 hours a go and have been watching this thread all day - i can confirm the model is now available for me. It’s a slow rollout most likely.
