What's Wrong With Scheduled Tasks? Can't It Use Web Search?

Since this feature was launched, I simply haven’t been able to get a daily news summary. I tried in many different ways, using ChatGPT on the desktop browser, on the Android app… I tried on different dates, with different settings and prompts.

Now I noticed that the feature apparently stopped being grouped with the selectable models, and it seems to support o4-mini. I tried again. And guess what: the problem persists.

It delivers news from its training data, not from web search results. It shows me generic news or events from 2023.

Is it a language issue? Or does scheduled tasks simply not use web search? :roll_eyes:

That is something I’d like to know too.

It was all hyped, but I only get outdated or unreliable poor results.

If it REALLY used o4-mini with browse as in the normal chat, then it would be nice.

But for now, it is useless for me.
