Would you restrict my API access? My service is on the approved list.

Here’s the official OpenAI answer to that question:

Supported countries and territories

We provide below a list of the countries and territories in which we currently support access to our API services.

Accessing or offering access to our services outside of the countries and territories listed below may result in your account being blocked or suspended.

Most of the time you will receive a warning email before your account get’s shutdown, but you should be careful about blocking IPs from certain territories.

I would like to know if my service includes some requests from China, but my API service is deployed in Germany. My service requests to the OpenAI API are legitimate. In this case, will OpenAI block my API service?

You seem to have misunderstood my main point. What I mean is that the source IP address of my API requests to the OpenAI server is legitimate because it is in Germany. However, my clients include people from China.

I’ve just had a warning email from OpenAI stating my app is being used in unsupported countries, I can’t control who has pirated my app, I hope I’m not suspended because Bing Chung from Cambodia pirated my app !!!
