Hi OpenAI team,
Just wanted to flag a minor UI issue: when using ChatGPT on Windows with a dark theme enabled, the favicon (the small logo at the bottom-right corner of the window) becomes almost invisible. The icon blends into the background due to the low contrast, making it very hard to see or even notice.
This affects the user experience slightly, especially for those who rely on visual cues or shortcuts to access certain functions or know when ChatGPT is active.
A small tweak, like adding a subtle outline or using a lighter background for the favicon container, could improve visibility significantly.
Thanks for the great work, and looking forward to future improvements!
Sam

I had the same problem with a light theme – the favicon was not visible on bookmarks panel because it was white. It seems they finally changed it!
Hi @kdoplay! I faced the same problem on Windows 11 and found a workaround you can try.
Normally the ChatGPT icon switches between white and black based on the Windows theme. This works fine with Windows (Light) and Windows (Dark), but with many other dark themes (for example A Watched Clock, Night Skies, Panoramic Animals), the app keeps using the black icon, so it blends into the taskbar.
What worked for me:
Go to Settings → Personalization → Themes → choose the problematic theme → Colors and change “Choose your default app mode” from Light to Dark (or set “Choose your mode” to Dark instead of Custom).
When you toggle these, the icon switches correctly between black and white. Adding screenshots for reference. Hope it helps!
