Very thin text when using GPT 6 -Chatgpt App

Hi guys

I use chatgpt on android 14 app , Samsung galaxy, UK. when using GPT-6 on chat, the text is very thin, or sometimes randomly inconsistent between bold and thin even within the same sentence . I think it’s to do with the new intelligent ui.

This happens even when I’ve selected “simple” formatting. but when u switch to GPT-5.6 Sol the text is the normal slightly heavyweight text. The bold text is easier to read on a small phone screen.

My workaround is asking the gpt 6 model to bold all text. it has to apply it to each paragraph individually and isn’t consistent . I do not need lots of diagrams . I need easy to read text.

Gpt 6 on chat

Hi I’m Gpt 6. I have very thin text. Chatgpt thinks it makes me very clean and cool looking but it sucks to read on a small phone screen. I draw many diagrams and graphs even when it’s not necessary because i like to show off. I also talk like a newsreader and write in long paragraphs instead of following cosy customisations.

Gpt 6 with workaround -asking model to bold all text

My text is too thin for most people to read comfortably so my user asks me to apply formatting to bold all text. it works OK sometimes but other times it doesn’t work very well at all. I can still draw graphs though.

Please could openai fix this? Looking on Reddit other people also have this issue and are also asking the gpt 6/ intelligent ui model to bold all the text. it’s a real accessibility issue.

I am having the similar problem as well I am a plus user. In gpt 5.6 sol or even 6.1 work its rendering properly with bolds, headings but with gpt 6 its not formatting at all even when pasting in apps that heavily relies on Markdown language. I tried this in android, ios, web, app everywhere its the same. While checking in github for gpt 6 it showed plain text and for 5.6sol it showed html text. Its been happening since 8th Oct and on 7th Oct Intelligent UI came out. I have contacted openai support they just ghosted me and in the openai status it shows everything is working properly.

yes I am also a plus user. it’s really annoying. the text is very hard to read and it’s doing this even if you switch the formatting from default to simple .

only.for gpt 6 not the others. if you have a chat and switch gpts midway then the new posts on a different gpt are correctly rendered. onlt the 6 ones are the weird thin text
